Warm-ups are light exercises performed prior to high intensity exercises. Although most men skip this part, performing warm-ups are actually a vital part of any work out.
Benefits of doing warm-ups
Warm-ups serve as the transition period between resting and exercising. When gradually preparing your body for the exercise phase, your muscle becomes more elastic, use of oxygen will become more efficient, and blood will start to flow away from muscles more quickly. This way activity lessens the possibility of feeling pain during the exercise, which can halt any progress you might have.
Examples of basic warm-ups
Basic warm ups include stretching as well as walking prior to jogging or running. When using a treadmill, you may also start at a slow pace and continually increase the speed until you reach your target. You must also perform around 30 light repetitions prior to lifting high intensity weights.
Keep in mind that even the best exercise coaches require warm-ups prior to the start of any physical activity. Going straight to an exercise without the benefit of preparing your body can cause injury to a person, not to mention it decreases the effectiveness of the exercise. Don't try to save time by skimming over warm-ups and instead make sure that it is one routine you never miss out.

Yoga is a system of exercise that effectively reduces stress and boosts a person's energy. However, some may view it as fake, especially since it contains various moves and poses that are just too ridiculous to look at, especially for men. However, it has been proven that the exercise has different benefits that could greatly improve a person's lifestyle.
Yoga 101
Yoga is mainly composed of various poses that stretch the muscles and promote blood circulation. There are various positions associated with the practice. However, one of the most commonly seen is perhaps the one where Yogi -- people who practice Yoga -- are meditating. This is when a Yogi assumes a position they are comfortable in and starts meditating in order to achieve true bliss.
Benefits of Yoga
As mentioned above, some men see Yoga as a way of stretching the muscles, but not necessarily a form of workout. However, there are various male practitioners who are benefitting from the practice. Some known benefits derived from Yoga includes the improvement of a person's flexibility and strength. The discipline required to do Yoga, when applied to daily life, will greatly improve life quality overtime.
Yoga has been used long enough to produce credible results. Hence, although Yoga may not be the cure-all for men, learning the discipline needed to do Yoga is bound to produce life-changing results that could improve the quality of a person's life.

With age and too many beers, your body will begin to show the excesses that you have subjected it with, especially in the belly area. Don’t wait for that little bulge in your belly to grow into a full-grown beer belly that you can’t see your toes anymore. Start trimming that belly for your own health.
Trim your beer belly by doing ab exercises.
Do abdominal exercises regularly to target that belly. Examples of such exercises are the bicycle exercise, captain’s chair leg raise, exercise ball crunch, and others. Try doing these starting with 10 minutes per session for a few weeks and work your way into 30 minutes per session.
Trim your beer belly with a good diet plan
Pair your exercise workouts with a good diet plan. Avoid junk food and soft drinks and eat only healthy foods rich in protein and carbohydrates from whole grains.
Change your lifestyle not just to trim your beer belly but also for better overall health. Saying good bye to beer belly means having to say good bye to beer, cigarettes, and other unhealthy habits.

How do you get wobbly muscles? If you work out, your muscles become bigger and firmer-- that is, when you are still young. However, when you get old, as in 60 years old, these muscles that were once rock-hard, have the tendency to lose its firmness. I know we love to have firm and strong abs and flaunting biceps. We also want our breasts to be really hard. The only solution to have all of these is enough workout. Seriously, we can't workout every minute of every day--unless we're trying to commit suicide.

When you reach 40, you have to accept that fact that you're not as strong and as fit as you used to be when you were 20. Back then, you could play basketball or football the whole day and still manage to go out on a date later that night. Don't expect that you can still do the same when you get older. So if you want to still stay in shape despite of your age, you must learn to adapt your workout routine to your age. As you age, you muscles deteriorate naturally so working out to get in shape will be harder. Your bones also get weak so the risk of injury is increased. Most men think that their body will still function the same during their teen years so they just pick up a random routine thinking they can handle it. Wrong! Older men should take it easy when working out because their body can't adapt to a sudden increase in activity.
The notion that no pain, no gain doesn't work for men in their prime. Pain is the body's way of saying that there's something wrong, so it is not advisable to play tough and ignore the pain. This doesn't just go for older men, but any person belonging to any age bracket; it just so happens that the older you get, the more prone to injuries you are. Experts say that regardless of your age, you have to perform aerobic exercises for a good 20 to 40 minutes twice or thrice a week. Alternate strength training with aerobic exercises. The intensity of your workout should depend on your current physical condition.
Before you start your routine, you should check with your physician first and heed his or her advice. If you have medical conditions like diabetes, a heart disease or arthritis it is best you ask experts what type of exercise you should do to stay safe and what type of lifestyle you should live. Remember, you're not as resilient as you used to be so you have to be careful with your body.

I notice men these days are eager to work out, it may be because of how media portray that a well-built man is an attractive man. Maybe they just want to improve their health. Whatever the reason is, it’s good to know that these men are concerned about their well-being. Before you go to the gym or begin an exercise program, there are a few things you need to know to ensure your safety. First of all, you should consult your physician before engaging in any fitness program especially if you have a history of high blood pressure or any medical condition.
Remember that before starting any exercise routine, you have to warm up your muscles to avoid injury. Now once you start your workout and feel any discomfort or injury, don’t ignore it thinking it will go away in a few days; look for medical attention immediately. It is also advised that you keep the proper posture, whatever you are doing. Make sure that your back is never in an awkward position.
Drink plenty of water when working out, you’ll be sweating a lot so you need to compensate for the lost body fluids. Finally, always wear comfortable shoes and loose, light-colored shirts when working out.

Running is one of the favorite workouts of men, and yes, we can jog for miles without even knowing it. Of course, this means that the apparel we have on during this exercise should keep us dry and comfortable, even if we're sweating a lot. Two of the gear must-haves when running are vest and pants.
Vests are good choices, particularly during cold seasons. It is important that vests are water-resistant and not bulky, and remain versatile for other outdoor activities. Running pants that are dry-fit and stretchable are ideal for those wet weathers.

It is important for a man to maintain a healthy and fit body. To be able to do this, he does not need to enroll in gym classes, pay for expensive gym equipment, and all other things. In fact, he can achieve this body by walking, jogging, or running everyday. If he does these things, his body sweats and his heart rate increases.
As such, fat and calories are burned inside the body. In addition, this is one way to solve the skinny leg problems common to men. When he regularly walks, his legs as well as muscles increase in its size.

Come to think of it, not all workouts are applicable to all men. The body changes and of course, along with the muscle flexibility of men. As men grow older, the fat does not easily burn anymore. The fats around the stomach area is the hardest to lose.
Men in their 20's have the most ideal muscle flexibility, so even if they load up on the weights exercises, their muscles would form instantly. But of course, this doesn't mean that as men grow older, they shouldn't exercise anymore. The most vital way to stay in shape is to have a healthy diet so you can avoid diseases like cancer or diabetes.
