Eric Clapton, that guy next door who serenades women with his sweet acoustic songs, popularized the famous song, Change the World. This is a song inspired by the singer's real life situations and experiences. Did you know that this singer got expelled from the prestigious Kingston College of Art? I guess, the secret of any artist is that they don't finish school. What do you think? Anyway, he didn't need an academic diploma just to be who he is right now -- a famous singer.

He was born in England on March 30th, 1945. He had a wife, but they got separated. They had two daughters, Ruth Kelly-Clapton and Julie Rose Clapton. They also had Conor, a son who died early. Eric's father, Edward Fryer, was a soldier from Canada who had an affair with Patricia Molly Clapton when he was assigned in England. After World War II, Eric's father left him and went back to his real family in Canada. Eric grew up without the presence of a father, but that didn't hinder him from achieving his dreams.

When Clapton became a hit in the music industry, his fans called him a god. He is a 16-time Grammy award winner, and is still selling like hotcakes with his unique music. His current album is entitled, Back Home. This is his first album that contains original songs he had written. His other albums are Crossroads 1988, 24 Nights 1991, Unplugged 1992, From the Cradle 1994, Pilgrim 1998, Chronicles 1999, Riding With The King 2000, Reptile 2001, One More Rider One More Car 2002, Me and Mr. Johnson 2004, Sessions For Robert J. 2004.

Ronaldo may be considered as one of the best soccer players in the world. However, soccer is not all about scoring a goal. It is also about leadership. Throughout history, soccer has been the world's most famous sports. Although basketball is popular, football is far more famous. It's popularity can best be seen during the stagings of the World Cup where the best teams meet to find out who reigns in the world. During this event, professional players forget about their mother teams and concentrate on how their beloved country can capture the championship.

Definitely, the recent World Cup tournament this month is one of the most memorable for me. More than the win of Italy because of Zidane's mistake, what hit me was the announcement from England Team captain David Beckham. Beckham announced after their match against Portugal that he was quitting as team captain. He mentioned that it's about time other players get to experience the job. However, he's still optimistic with playing international football. Because of his announcement, there are speculations as to who would assume his position.

As of now, David Beckham is already thirty years old. As the saying goes, he's not getting any younger. However, with what he has accomplished, Beckham is indeed a soccer icon. He has become one of the most celebrated personalities that soccer ever had. He does not only reign in soccer, he also penetrated the world of modeling and writing. Most of his critics might link his popularity to his charm and great looks; well, partly true, I say! But more than his looks, Beckham exudes something unexplainable...something that only David Beckham has.

Britons really have a special talent in capturing every woman's heart. Perhaps it's in their genes, or the food that they eat, or with their unique accent. We have a lot of successful British male celebrities who are still making waves in the entertainment industry like Elizabethtown's Orlando Bloom. He also appeared in movies like The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Pirates of the Carribean, and Kingdom of Heaven. We also got Simon Cowell who serve as an "inspiration" to contenders in the renowned singing tilt, American Idol. In addition to that, we also have Daniel Jacob Radcliffe or better known as the bespectacled teen wizard, Harry Potter.
Even in the music arena, another British artist is currently crooning music freaks with his romantic, pop, and alternative music. James Hillier Blount or James Blunt, proved that his surname shouldn't be taken literally, with his hits like Goodbye My Lover and You're Beautiful. Born in Wiltshire, the soldier turned actor, served in a peacemaking mission in Kosovo in the 1990s where he was shot. This guy already won several awards and his hits soared him to worldwide fame making him the second artist outside the States to top 1st in the billboard charts.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been a freaking fanatic of Superman, and if my memory serves me right, the first Superman film that I was able to lay my bulging eyes on is the one which stars the late Christopher Reeve. I can't remember the whole story plot anymore since the movie is quite old already, but there's a significant scene there that will never be eradicated from my brain cells, if ever I have one. It's the scenario where Superman turns a whole lake into thick cold ice to help put out the fire in a burning factory. Now that we have an up and coming Superman film which will be shown perhaps by June or July, I know fans like me will get the taste of our superhero in the big screen again.
I really can't wait for the movie to be shown, and as a matter of fact, I'll be saving my allowance to grab the first exclusive chair for my butt on the first day or premiere night of the flick. Poor thing, Mr. Reeve and his wife won't have the chance to glimpse the latest movie, since for me as a fan, among all the actors who took part playing the sought after role, only Brandon Routh and the late actor have a perfect resemblance with the real Superman in the cartoon comics. Oops, don't get me wrong here okay, I have nothing against star Tom Welling, and I actually think his one of those more than a bird guys oozing with testosterone. By the way, aside from Welling in Smallville, there's another guy who played as the man of steel in television.
Dean Cain played as the brooding Clark Kent opposite Teri Hatcher as the sultry Lois in the 1993 television series, Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. But unlike most Superman stories, aside from the usual superhero-saving-shrieking-people-in-a-burning-building thingy, this one focuses on both the dramatic, steamy and funny lives of both Clark and his love interest. The chemistry between Cain and Hatcher is really rare making me think that they are the best Superman love team ever. I can say that Cain was able to give justice to the role, and my mom and sister said that he's hot especially when his bulge and muscles become obvious in the blue and red suit.

Amongst the best villains I've ever seen in the movie, I think Lord Voldemort is the most fearsome of all. What with his snake-like features and white ashen face that he has, even Jason and Freddy Krueger will have a run for their money. Aside from his scary looks, the dark magic power that he possesses makes him the most powerful dark wizard to exist in the wizarding world that even the magic people are so afraid to mention his name. But fortunately there was a boy who will put an end on his bad deeds, but I'm not writing about that again because I bet the whole world knew about the bespectacled teenage boy. Anyway, I started the entry with Lord Voldemort because I was so impressed with the talent of the actor behind the character. He is no less than Ralph Fiennes who first wowed movie fanatics in his portrayal of Amon Goeth, the commandant of the Nazi Camp in the movie Schindler's List directed by my favorite director Steven Spielberg. He already received several citations, nominations and awards from Tony, and Oscar ceremonies.
Back to being Lord Voldemort, I appreciate his acting in the Goblet movie because he made the Dark Lord more menacing and cunning making me think that he is not a fictional character. The cold, piercing voice, his body language and the terrorizing look of his face is more than enough for a fifteen year old boy to have his pants wet. I hope I'm not exaggerating things, but Mister Fiennes gave justice to the role, and there's no other guy fit to be He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

If super heroes were real I do hope they're as handsome and as hot as the one we see in the movies and TV series. Who wants a superhero who is as ugly as the vicious and ferocious monster villain that they were trying to kill? Oops, speaking of superheroes, I' think Incredible Hulk, the Thing, and Nightcrawler are exempted to what we consider crime busting cute guys. They may be great in their own way but if we're talking about the looks or physical appearance for that matter, I think they'll rank last. Anyway, let's not bother those guys anymore and let's focus our attention on the desirable ones.
As a movie fanatic, superhero flicks are among my favorites because the special effects, the storyline and the action packed scenes are really superb. I guess you want me to enumerate the famous guys behind those superhero suites. Let's limit it to the modern actors okay, because it will take me a lot of research if I include the veteran ones. For Spider-Man-slash-Peter Parker, we have Tobey Maguire who gave justice to the role. For Batman-slash-Bruce Wayne, we have Christian Bale, but to tell you frankly, I did not appreciate the movie that much. For the man of steel, we have young Iowan actor Brandon Routh, whose acting prowess will be placed on critic's prying eyes in Superman Returns.
But I think one guy beats them all not only by his looks and super powers but also because of his unparalleled talent. I'm referring to Hugh Jackman who portrayed the role of the fierce and unusually charming Wolverine. And on the latest and unfortunately last X-men flick this year, the hero will battle the evil Magneto again with the X-gang. Personally, Hugh is quintessentially the personification of Logan because his looks can slice one in half using the six metal blades, and he's still the most sought after uniformed guy with or without shaving.

Tom Cruise is definitely among the hottest (literally) and most sought after Hollywood celebrity today. What with that almost perfect smile that can melt even the snow-frost-bitten hearts and beguilingly sexy personality, who'll say Tom Cruise is just an ordinary celebrity.
Thomas Cruise Mapother IV was born in Syracuse, New York on the third day of July, 1962. He first gained fame on 1983 playing as a rich, fretful, uptown guy in Risky Business. His incomparable acting ability soared him ahead of the pack.
Cruise became widely known as an action star in his films like Top Gun, War of the Worlds, and the blockbuster hit Mission Impossible where he portrayed Ethan Hunt, which currently released its third sequel this year. His marriage with another famous celebrity Nicole Kidman went unfortunately haywire. But as all Tom Cruise fan's out there knows, he is now a father to his baby girl with another artist Katie Holmes. The TomKat love story which was reported last year was predicted as just another celebrity spell, since both artists had a movie released that year.
This picture was taken on Cruise guest stint in the Oprah Winfrey show in the episode entitled: Tom Cruise on love, life, and fatherhood. As you can see, Cruise is trying to wrestle the Queen of Talk in her very own set with live audience at that. Viewers were delirious seeing the hot and sexy hunk become as mad as a hatter. Hate listings, blogs, and web sites were created to denounce Cruise' gestures.
I'm not a TomKat super fan, but I don't see any reason why people have to bother crafting sites just to show the world that they hate an actor for acting like what normal people do when their happy. And what's ironic is that after their nasty and rude comments on their hate listings, they'll watch the new MI movie. Now that's saying something!

I just can not wait any longer for the premier night of the Da Vinci Code. Aside from the fact that I really love the idea of making my favorite novel in to a movie, I am also proud that the lead character of the story is played by one of my favorite actors. When the news broke about the movie, I made a bet with my friend. I said Tom Hanks is the perfect actor for the main character, and I won.
Fifty-year-old Tom Hanks stars in the upcoming film adaptation of a Dan Brown masterpiece. He has grown his hair long for a more proper portrayal of Langdon, a symbologist. His acting achievements have gone a long way ever since he made his first movie some twenty years ago.
Tom, unlike any other actors did not aim for Hollywood. Instead, a twist of fate occurred on him during his high school days. He spent much of his time playing baseball, and only during his high school days did he discover his talents for acting. He was able to join drama clubs and perform in major plays. It took him a relatively long while before he made his way to Hollywood. Tom has won several acting awards for his thought provoking movies. Tom possesses a genuine love for the art of acting. He allowed himself to portray different characters, and that really captured the heart of audiences.

One of the greatest actors to ever grace the silver screen has got to be Al Pacino. He's been in so many defining movies in Hollywood history, including the "Godfather" series. I don't know if it's personal bias, but he really puts his character into life every time he appears on screen. Who could forget Tony Montana? The big, bad thug he portrayed in the movie, "Scarface." His character and the movie itself had a great impact on American culture even up to this day. He also gave life to Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade, a disabled former military officer in the movie "Scent of a Woman." His effort in the said film gave him an Academy Award for best lead actor.
His rise to stardom is attributed to his role as Michael Corleone in the Cappola masterpeice "The Godfather" in 1972. Numerous established stars wanted that role, including Robert De Niro and Robert Redford but Cappola selected the then-unknown Pacino to portray the character. Since then, Pacino has been recognized as one of the best actors in his generation. He was nominated quite a few times but it was not until 1992 that he won his first Oscar Award for best actor in "Scent of a Woman." That same year, Pacino was also nominated for his supporting role as Glengarry Glen Ross, making him the 1st male actor to be nominated for an acting award in two separate films in the same year.

You probably hated him in the film Matrix, but captured your heart in the Lord of the Rings, and lately, he became your knight in a mask in V for Vendetta. I am talking about Hugo Weaving. Like other Hollywood actors, he started developing his acting skills by joining stage plays and performing in different theaters over the city. He first appeared in Australian movies and eventually made his way to Hollywood. His superb acting skill is his ultimate weapon in invading the movie industry.
Weaving does not limit himself with the roles that he play and constantly experimenting and discovering his hidden talents. A versatile actor, Weaving has done several films on serious drama, comedy, and action. Lately, his name has become an icon for antagonists and hard hearted villains.
Unlike other well-known actors, Weaving is in keeping with his private life. He is unlikely to be seen in social gatherings or parties, except in award nights. Weaving managed to live a happy and quiet life with his wife and son. Unknown to many, Weaving is a native of Nigeria and raised in England and South Africa. The culture he has grown up with added to his wide understanding of the different characters he plays. Weaving, at age forty-six, has no plans of quitting his job. Currently, he is producing films that he hopes would also become box-office hits.

One of the most celebrated and bankable male actors in Hollywood is Mel Gibson. Aside from being an actor, Mel Gibson is also a recognized producer and director. His rise to stardom could be attributed to the Mad Max series wherein he played the lead character. Gibson is also famous for starring in the police action-comedy series "Lethal Weapon" where he co-starred with Danny Glover. His directorial success came in the form of the Academy Award winning movie, "Braveheart" where he also starred as the main character. His latest blockbuster achievement was the controversial "The Passion of the Christ" in 2004. Gibson was also the first guy to ever be given the name of "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine in 1985.
Gibson was actually born in the United States, in Peekskill, New York to be exact. However, he was raised in Australia. After winning in the game show Jeopardy, Hutton Gibson (his father) relocated his family in 1968 to Australia as protest to Vietnam War. Hutton also wanted to avoid getting his sons drafted by the US military. Mel Gibson is a person of deep religious faith, evident in his 2004 project "The Passion of the Christ" in which he got accusations of being anti-semetic. On set, he loves to play pranks on his female co-stars.

I don’t know why but I have the urge to explore American stand-up comedy. I’ve downloaded the early works of Eddie Murphy in Limewire and watched several comedy sketches by Dave Chapelle in "youtube." One comedian, aside from the two previously mentioned, caught my immediate attention – George Carlin. He portrayed the angry, cynical white man like no other. Even though I am new to stand-up comedy, I already consider him to be one of the best there is, and there ever will be.
I first saw his work in the HBO special “Complaints and Grievances.” I didn’t really get into him in the early part of the show, but when he let loose after the first 30 minutes I was laughing my ass off! I like his comedy because it pokes fun at the trivial things we usually experience. His comedy also revolves around his observations on religion, society, and politics. His routine is famous (or infamous) for his use of dirty words. He even had a comedy album about offensive words entitled Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics. I admire this guy because not only can he make you laugh, but he can also make you think.

Keannu Reeves has already proven himself to be a great actor. Most of his movies like The Devil's Advocate, Matrix trilogy, Speed, Constantine, Chain Reaction, to name a few, contain incredible stunts. A serious actor, Keannu is very sensitive with the characters that he plays. His concentration and dedication to his work is being commended by all the directors whom he has worked with.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon on September 2, 1964, Keannu was never interested with school - he failed everything, but Latin. When he was seventeen, his mother, Patricia enrolled him in Uta Haggen's Respect for acting in Canada where he showed exemplary achievements in acting. There was also a time when he would play hockey and at the same time, memorizing his lines in Shakespeare.
A respectable actor, Keannu is very careful with his private life. Some say that this is the result of his unhappy childhood - the divorce of his parents when he was three, and the death of his girlfriend and son. Contrary to his being reserved, Keannu always gained friends whenever he is exposed to his work or his hobby. What really makes him likable is the fact that he shows the real man in him.

If you are watching Hollywood movies you cannot help but to admire the handsome faces of the male celebrities and their beautiful bodies. Perhaps, you have a list of your favorite stars and might be interested to know if they belong to the sexiest male celebrities in Hollywood. One on the most admired and watched Hollywood star is Tom Cruise. Everybody knows him because of his killer smile and sexy body. At present he is 44 years old and still has no trace of old age because of his well-built body.
Another Hollywood star who is a veteran and has proven his good acting and directorial ability in his chosen career is Mel Gibson. Believe it or not, Mel Gibson is now 60 years of age but still he is considered as one of the sexiest celebrities in Hollywood. Like Cruise, there is no evident trace of old age to Gibson. Though they are not the in the top of the list of sexiest male celebrities, they are still considered sexy because they are able to maintain and improve their body despite of their age and vigorous activities in the entertainment industry.

With so many people trying to get into Hollywood, the task of finding the right person for the right role remains a difficulty at times. One reason for this is that there are so many potentials, but not too many real talents. Thus, finding the next Anthony Hopkins or the next Meryl Streep for now seems too bleak a prospect.
One young actor who caught my eye though is Jake Gyllenhaal. No, I am not talking about him the way you think. It is just that I realized that he is one of the few young ones out there who can actually survive the jungles of Hollywood. Why? First, he is one of the handful of talents I know that made their mark in indie films and yet, broke through successfully into the big-time flicks. Even during his debut in independent films like "Donnie Darko" and "Moonlight Mile: The Good Girl", where he appeared alongside brilliant and established celebrities Susan Sarandon and Dustin Hoffman, you can already tell that his performances merit awards. Second, with his transition into the 'mainstream', his choice of roles and projects are still laudable. Who can ever get away with being a gay cowboy in the acclaimed Brokeback Mountain and take a relatively lower billing as Gwyneth's boyfriend in Proof? His lineup of movies and masculine appeal are enough to impress and to show the audience that he is today's most versatile young actor around.

Who doesn't like having a good laugh? Aside from being known as the best medicine, laughter is also a great form of entertainment. In the United Stats the massive influx of comedians can be felt world wide, they even have a reality show on comic search. Among these funny men, one man has earned the title as "the funniest man in America."
Born in 1946, Gregory James wasn't making audiences laugh their hearts out until he was 36 years old. He didn't even see himself as a comedian. His early career involved knocking on people's door and selling encyclopedias, vacuum cleaners and stainless cookwares. Gregory describes his material as laid-back and down-to-earth as oppose to the abundant cynical brand of comedy most comics use.

Actor Matthew McConaughey was voted the Sexiest Male Alive in 2005, besting other gorgeous male celebrities like Brad Pitt (who already won the title twice) and newcomer Jake Gyllenhaal. It has actually been a long but fulfilling journey for the actor.
After graduating with a degree in film production, he starred first in low budget films and then gradually moved to A-list pictures, finally getting noticed in the critically acclaimed movie "A Time To Kill." This Texan loves sports and is an avid football fan, always seen watching any game that pit Texas University's Longhorn team.

Seen him rock his body, croon to his señorita, then wonder where is the love. But now, you will see pop musician and heartthrob Justin Timberlake take another form as his second starrer "Alpha Dog" debuts in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Timberlake, who started his showbiz career in Disney Network's The Mickey Mouse Club as a Mouseketeer, plays alongside Emile Hirsch and Sharon Stone in an edgy film or movie with a serious twist.
In 2005, he co-starred alongside Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman in "Edison" where he plays a neophyte journalist. Critics have eyed Timberlake's potential as a serious actor. Maybe someday, we might just hear his name announced on Oscar night.

Maybe you're wondering what Tom Cruise has to do with a disappearing sex scene in an indie film being screened at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. Well, the film's title is "Thank You for Smoking," a feature debut from rookie helmer Jason "Son of Ivan" Reitman. It stars Aaron Eckhart (of "The Core") and "Dawson's Creek" alumnae Katie Holmes (see where this is going, folks?).
Back to the sex scene. The twelve-second love scene that featured both the actors disappeared in the print being screened at Park City (but originally appeared in the cut that exhibited in last year's Toronto Film Festival). Now, movie industry insiders and gossip columnists are suspecting that Holmes' fiance, Tom Cruise, is behind the snip.
Katie Holmes, an actress in her mid 20's, is carrying the first biological son of the veteran thespian. He suffered his most disastrous publicity on May 2005 when he ecstatically jumped up and down a couch while being interviewed by talk show host Oprah Winfrey.

Brad Pitt started out with his breakthrough performance in his first Hollywood film, Thelma and Louise, and now he has become the epitome of the classic male celebrity, he's practically perfect! He has the all-American good looks, that's to die for, he's an impeccably good actor, all his films are, of course, blockbuster hits, he's active with his support with the relief operations in South Africa and with the UN HIV AIDS campaign. He was married to the beautiful Jennifer Aniston, and he's currently 'with' the hottest Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie! Now, who says you can't have everything? Brad has it all!
