Smoking seems like second nature to most men, I only know a handful of males who never smoke. It usually starts because of peer pressure in their teen years, but carries on even if they have passed that phase in their life.
Smoking is addictive because of the nicotine it contains. Some say they smoke because it eases tension, but most smoke because they can’t seem to quit. Everybody knows the peril that comes with smoking, one of them is lung cancer which is the leading cause of death for men.
There are many other negative side effects of smoking to your body. An obvious effect is that you tire very easily, because it damages your lungs and you muscles use less oxygen. It also hurts your sex life; blood vessels inside your body constrict making it difficult to get an erection. Men that smoke also suffers from gum diseases, bad breath, and get
smoke stains which is not an attractive sight.
Aside from
lung cancer, there are several lung complications that smoking tobacco causes like pneumonia, emphysema, and bronchitis. There is also the risks of developing other diseases like leukemia, throat, kidney, stomach, mouth, esophagus, and may cancers.
